Well, I have finally received my summons to be interrogated as a Death Eater. In case anyone still had doubts: I am not and never have been. But at least this is a sign that they're taking that list seriously, because odds are at least some of it is valid, even if it was wrong about me. ( Private to Tonks ) |

Well, look at that. I played a ridiculous and frivolous naked game with tarot cards and I haven't fallen off a cliff. It's almost like they're a completely inane, imaginary fortune-telling device probably invented by Muggles.
[this is hexed so that Remus can see and respond, but Regulus will not be able to read it. What better way to avoid the temptation to bitch him out? Seriously.] |

I have this new deck of tarot cards. I'm not sure what I'll do with them, since they're a complete scam. Maybe have the prettier ones framed. |

I have a girlfriend. Her name is Nymphadora Tonks and we are very happy together. I just felt like I was missing something, to never write about it. So I am.
There. Journal up-to-date. |

Saturdays are always busy at the shop for the obvious reasons, and I am insane amounts of glad that the day is finally over. I have been on my feet for hours. Not that I don't love what I do, but sometimes enough is enough. ( Private to Dora ) |

I don't think anyone but bookshop workers feel that the week begins on Tuesday. We got an interesting shipment in today, and it's all stocked and ready to be bought. I am particularly pleased with the Guy Fawkes Day collection in the window.
In less boring news, I had tacos today. They're really weird. |

It's a good thing I didn't dress as a Death Eater for Halloween. I might have gotten even more strange looks today. Although given the number I did get, I'm not sure that's actually possible. ( Private to Tonks ) |

[Ted Tonks] You don't like me. That's fine; you don't have to like me.
But your daughter is going to get herself killed if you don't end this. Narcissa is a good person and I very much want her to be happy, but if you continue to see her, Dora is going to tell the Blacks who she is in the hope of saving you from recriminations, and they will kill her. I don't want to lose her. Teddy doesn't want to lose her. I'd imagine you don't want to lose her, except that you already have, and you don't really seem to care about that. You'd much rather snog my cousin than save your daughter's life.
You should have married Andromeda. You'd fit right in with the family.
Don't bother insulting me or harassing me or trying to explain yourself. As far as I'm concerned, you are a self-centered, delusional arsehole who somehow managed to raise one of the best people I have ever had the privilege to meet. She deserves much better than the way you and your snitty girlfriend have been treating her of late, and I only hope you realise that before it's too late.

No more crutches! It's some sort of miracle. I walked up the stairs today and felt like doing a victory lap. Quite frankly I am just thrilled to put this whole mess behind me. I hope
The shop will be passing out sweets with purchases for the next two days, as per usual, so if you enjoy free things, come buy a book. We have a very spooky selection. I particularly recommend Ghosts of our Time; it has pop-ups. Very innovative. |

Barring any unforeseen complications, I should be off the crutches by noon tomorrow. I suspect the clerks at the shop are in a betting pool as to how I will reinjure myself in the next twelve hours. Falling down the stairs is probably in the lead. ( Private to Friends )( Private to Dora ) |

I've been discharged, though my knee is still damaged and I'll be on crutches for a few days. Thank you to all who were concerned. My apologies for the blood. ( Private to Tonks )( Private to Ted ) |

It's heartwarming, really, don't you think, to know that Blacks are so easily replaceable. They just keep turning up. They must barely remember I ever existed, and for that, I am extremely grateful, because I must say, if I were a part of that family tonight, I think I would kill myself. Do yourselves a favour, Blacks, and take a leaf out of my hypothetical book. I do know an awful lot about books. |

Another Tuesday gone. Today's big new title: Fifteen Creatures and How to Fight Them. I'll be the first to admit that I find other wizards more frightening than creatures, but it's a very good read. I got through it on my lunch break. And my coffee break this morning after shelving.
And now to dinner. |

Ah, four thirty in the morning on Tuesday, which means it's time for the first cup of coffee of the day and a quick jaunt down to work because it's book delivery day! I'm always so cheerful when I can smell coffee brewing. Just wait until I actually ingest it. ( Private to Percy )( Private to Tonks ) |
